The LCDBA: the acronym stands for Luxemburg Comparative Data Bases and Archives.

The Unit is dealing with complex micro data bases, primarily on people's living conditions in a large variety of countries. While the various national data sets are contributed to the CEPS/INSTEAD by the partner countries , the Unit renders the data compatible and comparable and puts the resulting comparative data sets at the disposal of the scientific community, either on site or remotely, but always under conditions appropriate for protecting confidentiality and privacy according to the laws and rules of the contributing countries.
